The Infamous Dangerous Taping Equipment (TM)
Click on any image for a larger picture.
Tascam DA-38 - Digital 8-track recorder. Records on Hi-8 tape.
Tascam DA-P1 - Portable DAT - This deck has served me very well... highly recommended.
Tascam DA-20MKII - My home DAT machine... a basic, good deck.
HHB CDR-800 - My standalone CD burner (Yes, I have taken it to shows, I know, I'm a freak.)
Mackie 1402VLZ - My little 14 channel portable mixing board... all matrixes are mixed on this.
Earthworks SR77 - These are my current live mics... so far, I like 'em.
To find out more about Earthworks mics (very good value, excellent quality... the omni's are just beautiful on anything accoustic.) visit http://www.earthwks.com
Aiwa HD-X3000 - This is my "Small Auxiliary Backup Deck". :)
RNC 1773 - Also known as the "Really Nice Compressor", any finish work I do utilizes this.
Nakamichi CM-700 - Used to be my main mics... I had three, traded two in for the earthworks, and still have the one left.
Paradigm 3seMK3's - My home monitoring speakers... I'm hoping to get a set of Tannoy Reveals as well.
As far as CD burning goes, most are mastered on the HHB, with copies done on either that or my
computer burner. It's an HP8100, running on a Pentium II at 450mhz.
The travels of Nate's equipment
Don't believe that it's actually dangerous? Check out the document I got when AdamH and I got stopped for an hour and a half at customs on the way to the Clyde's show.
My gear at FruCon '99.
